Welcome to Legends of the Jedi! This guide will walk you through connecting to the game and taking your first steps in the galaxy.

Choose How to Connect
You have two options for connecting to LOTJ:
MUD Client (Recommended)
Use a dedicated client for better features.

Create Your Account
When you first connect, you'll be prompted to create an account. This account holds all your characters and progress.
- Choose a unique account name (not your character name)
- Set a secure password
- Provide a valid email for account recovery

Create Your Character
After logging in, you'll create your first character. Don't worry too much about getting everything perfect—you can always create new characters later!

Essential Commands
Here are the most important commands to know when starting out:
help - View help files
look - See your surroundings
north/south/east/west - Move around
say <message> - Speak to others in the room
who - See who's online
newbie <message> - Ask for help on the newbie channel
score - View your character stats
quit - Log out safely
